Eldrick Is Back....Thankfully

After almost 6 months off from the game of golf, and really from the world, Tiger Woods is back this week!!! And thank God for that. Golf may as well not even be a televised sport without Tiger. Is it just me or is there absolutely no interest in watching golf when Tiger isn't near the top of the leaderboard? Sundays just do not feel the same without either the NFL, or Tiger Woods in red. I began writing this prior to Tiger teeing off at the Masters this afternoon. Within 5 seconds of announcing Tiger to the crowd, I had to completely rethink where I was going with this story. I really thought that Tiger would hear a lot of boos from the crowd when he got to the first tee. Anyone who saw the highlights already, well, we know better. There was not one single boo from the crowd as Tiger Woods' name was announced and he stepped to the tee, waiving to the onlooking crowd at Augusta. The man spent the last few years banging half the chicks in the world while parading around like the perfect role model family man, but then he steps to the tee at the first hole, of his first round, of his first tournament back since the news broke......and......nothing but cheers. (here's some of those girls)

The man is iconic. He can do no wrong apparently. The sponsors will all come running back soon, and the ones that left him will regret it when he doesn't want to re-sign with them. He will find plenty of other suitors I'm guessing. Everyone will forget about what happened and Tiger will go back to being that other-worldly talent that we all so fervently enjoy watching. We will support him on his quest to break Nicklaus' major titles record. Ultimately, we can all look past his wrongdoings because, in the end, we just want to witness greatness. And when you watch Tiger Woods strike a golfball, all that comes to mind is pure, unadulterated, amazingly beautiful Greatness. I know I'll be watching, and I bet you will too. And you heard it here first..............Eldrick "Tiger" Woods will flex his muscles...............

And win the Masters!
